HAGI

Dalam rangkain Pertemuan Ilmiah Tahunan ke 34 HAGI yang berlangsung di Yogyakarta tanggal 8-12 November 2009 kemarin, telah dilakukan Pemilihan Umum untuk memilih President Elected HAGI untuk periode 2010-2012. Dari 242 suara yang masuk, terdapat 142 suara sah, yaitu suara dari Anggota Profesional yang telah memenuhi kewajiban organisasi (iuran HAGI 2008 & 2009). Dari total 142 suara sah tersebut, Yosi Hirosiadi mendapatkan 100 suara, dan Satria Bijaksana, mendapatkan 38 suara. Terdapat 4 suara yang tidak sah, antara lain karena abstain, atau mencoblos di luar tempat yang diharuskan.

Kami mengucapkan selamat kepada Yosi Hirosiadi sebagai Elected President HAGI untuk 2010-2012.

The HAGI 34th Annual Meeting is Hosted by HAGI Jogjakarta Chapter (Komisariat Wilayah). This convention provides opportunities among the earth scientist to share ideas, opinion and experiences in geophysical sciences as well as their new concept and current technology development. The committee invites all of the earth scientist to present any technical and scientific papers in various topics in the field of geology and geophysics from various institutions inside and outside of Indonesia. The industries and research institutions can also use this forum to promote their activities and finding to a wider audience and related parties.

The Opening Ceremony will be opened by Dr. Ing. Evita H. Legowo, Director General of Oil and Gas and Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X on Tuesday, November 10th 2009 in Sheraton Mustika Hotel Jogjakarta at 9.00 am. Keynote speech will be delivered by Ibu Karen Agustiawan, Corporate Senior VP Upstream PT. Pertamina (Persero).

  Petroleum resources of Indonesia has been explored and produced for more than 125 years. Yet, the Indonesia’s oil and gas potential and production are still important regionally and globally. National and multinational companies are still venturing this resource. The potential of unexplored resources is still large in both Western and Eastern Indonesia.

  Within this five-day course, current knowledge on petroleum geology of Indonesia will be presented and discussed. The course materials are based on recent concepts within individual basins. Detailed discussions will be made for producing basins. New ideas on the possibilities of petroleum accumulation in un-explored areas will be presented. Current progress of the petroleum exploration and production will be addressed.

  The course will provide participants with tour of petroleum geology of Indonesia. After the course, the participants will know regional tectonics, stratigraphy, petroleum system, petroleum geology, and exploration-production status of individual basins in Indonesia. This knowledge is important, especially for new venture evaluation. Specific problems of an area where participants are working in can be shared and discussed in this course. The course will benefit both junior and senior petroleum professionals. Professionals from other disciplines who want to know the petroleum geology of Indonesia will also take benefit from the course.

Himpunan Ahli Geofisika Indonesia will held it’s 34th Annual Meeting in Jogjakarta , 8-13th November 2009. This event will take place at Sheraton Hotel, Jl. Solo, Jogjakarta. There are two main parallel events; HAGI Annual Convention and Exhibition, and Geophysics Education Seminar. We encouraged for participation from students, researchers, teachers, professionals from all institutions include government and privates.

For this 34th Annual Meeting, the theme will be “Empowering Geophysics Education Toward Global Changes Era“. As we know, geophysics education for sustainability, have two main aspect; geophysics curriculum systems at higher educations and Indonesian human resources. The great basics education would be increased for Global changes and also for Renewable energy.

HAGI present a 4-days course on 4D Microgravity Survey for Hydrocarbon Reservoir Monitoring. This will take place in Ramada Bintang Bali Hotel, Bali, at 2-5 March 2009. THis course is designed for geo-scientists who wish to expand their understanding of significant techniques and developments in 4D microgravity. This enhanced understanding is vital for field development process.

The instructor for this course will be, Dr. Wawan Gunawan A. Kadir, M.Sc., currently an Associate Professor of Geophysical Engineering and Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering, ITB. And also, Dr. Ir. Eko Widianto, MT, he is currently working in Pertamina EPTC as Senior Geophysicist.

Menyambut tahun baru 2009 ini, kami mencoba meng-upgrade situs HAGI (www.hagi.or.id), agar lebih dapat menjadi saluran informasi berita, agenda kegiatan, ataupun info-info lainnya bagi para Anggota HAGI, ataupun kalangan umum.
